ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR:

Abeer is a recent graduate of psychology in Edinburgh, Scotland, where she founded the photography society at her university. Since 2009 she's been seriously pursuing photography and exhibits regularly in Oman. Abeer specializes in natural light portrait photography, particularly of toddlers and children, but also has a passion for landscape photography. Her gear is a Nikon D700, 50mm F1.8, 10-20mm and several standard lenses.

OBJECTIVES:      

This mini workshop in 2 sessions is designed for those with little to no knowledge on using photoshop to retouch and post process photographs. It will include tips on: Sharpening, adjusting lighting, basic photoshop tools, balancing colors, masking, fixing minor problems that often occur in photographs, the Dave hill technique, and adding a watermark easily. You will be practicing the techniques hands on with your own set of photographs, as well as a set provided by the instructor via email before the workshop.

- Laptop with installed Adobe Photoshop software (30-day free trial available from Adobe. Instructions will be given with version 11 CS4)

- Set of different photographs from own collection (landscape, portraits...etc)
