Provided that ALL information from our registration form is included, you may send your details in text form via email if you were unable to fill in the downloaded registration form.

Do I have to be in Oman to participate?

YES, you have to be resident in Oman and available to pick up your prize from Muscat.

Does the photo have to be taken in Oman?

Unless stated otherwise, the entry photo does NOT have to be taken in Oman or display Omani content.

When is the submission deadline?

Photos may be submitted until Midnight of the 20th of the month.

How many photos can I submit?

You may send ONE photo in ONE email per month only.

May I digitally manipulate my photo?

Although digitally manipulated entries are allowed, manipulation may only assist in enhancing the features of your photo (such as colour, contrast etc). You may neither digitally add content nor borders, signatures, text or watermarks. Photo manipulation will be judged at the judges’ discretion.

May I use my mobile to take the photo?

Submissions must be saved as .jpg, at a MINIMUM of 5 MP (megapixel). Given your phone’s specifications fulfills these guidelines, photos taken with a mobile phone may enter the competition. However, due to the high standard entries we receive every month, and the fact that your photo will be eligible to be exhibited and sold, we recommend you take photos with a more advanced lens (point-and-shoot or SLR cameras).

Winners will be notified via email any time between the submission deadline and end of the competition month.

Why don’t you upload all photos on Facebook?

MuscArt receives well over 300 photo entries every month; we simply cannot post all entries on our page. Submitted photos will be anonymously judged by a team of professional photographers and not via online voting. We believe this provides the fairest opportunity for everyone to be judged by the quality of their entry and not by the amount of Facebook friends “like” their photo. Should we receive a large amount of high standard entries we will give recognition by showcasing our favourites on our page.
