What motivated you to become an artist?

- I never considered myself as an artist. I sometimes even have a problem saying I'm a photographer. I just know how to take good photos. That's it!

What motivates me? My vision frames photos everywhere. I could take photos all the time. I find myself using iPhone a lot, just because my Canon 5D Mklll is big and I don't carry it everywhere with me. I have a deep need to photograph - and later in post production to make those photos show my vision. If I couldn't do that, I would be sick and unbearable to leave with.

Photography is a vent. A release to keep me sane. When I make pictures I am doing something. I create.

If you were a color, which one would you be?

- I would like to think of myself as sky-blue or grass-green - calmness ... but in reality I am a red indian chili. Yes a very vivid red. Happy. Ready to explode if touched wrongly. I bring joy and lots of noise.

What is the strangest comment someone has said about your work?

- I am told that my camera takes nice pictures ... moving on ... strangest?

One pregnant client allowed me to post her picture on facebook, but later when I came to shoot the newborn, she told me that the facebook post had come to the attention of her mother-in-law - a voodoo witch - and they were very scared about it. Needless to say, I didn't post the newborn photos ;)

What is the funniest thing that has happened to you as an artist?

- Funny peculiar? It amazes me that strangers introduce themselves to me because they recognize my daughters from my website - It did happen quite a lot in Dubai. My girls (twins 3-years 3-months) are a big part of my photographic world.

Share a secret tip.

- Be human. Be the best photographer you can be. But if you photograph people firstly be human towards them and interact, interact, interact.
